Five little pigs Cover Image Book Book

Five little pigs

Summary: Hercule Poirot undertakes a sixteen-year-old murder case in which a woman apparently poisoned her adulterous husband. Because her husband-to-be is growing wearily disenchanted with her family's history, the daughter of the accused murderer, Carla Lemarchant, desperately tries to clear her mother's name. As Poirot conducts his investigation, he rounds up five other possible suspects: Philip Blake (the stockbroker), who went to market; Meredith Blake (the amateur herbalist), who stayed at home; Elsa Greer (the three-time divorcEe), who had her roast beef; Cecilia Williams (the devoted governess), who had none; and Angela Warren (the disfigured sister), who cried all the way home. As he investigates, Poirot can't get the nursery rhyme out of his mind.
