Summary: Action to recover price of slave that died after falling sick the day after purchase. The sale price had been [dollars] 1,200 and the plaintiff had paid [dollars] 600 in cash and given a note of credit for the balance. The Supreme Court ruled that the plaintiff should receive the full amount, [dollars] 600 in cash and the return of his note, plus costs.
