Narrator Hillary Huber brings to life a wide array of characters in this audiobook. Jance's latest Joanna Brady novel has it all--intrigue, suspense, memorable characters, and a villain to revile. Brady is back in action after being reelected sheriff, despite the fact that she is supposed to be on maternity leave. When bones--and then bodies--begin showing up in a field in Cochise County, her department races against the clock to stop the killings. Huber handles the story's multiple points of view admirably. Equally impressive is her ability to paint pictures of the Arizona scenery, where the action takes place. Listeners will feel as if they become part of the story.
